Experiencing Low Back Pain, dizziness And Irregular Periods After Taking Birth Control Pill
Hello! I recently started taking a new birth control pill (now three weeks) and I am experiencing an irregular period. I usually only cramp for a day, but these are the symptoms I have been experiencing. Is it possible that I could have had an early miscarriage? -weakness -lower abdominal pain for the past six days (contracting feelings/need for constant pain medication) -lower back pain -faintness/dizziness -daily vaginal blood clotting (large clotting) -tissue mixed in with clotting ( one up to three inches long) - vaginal bleeding is bright red -heavy flow
If you had unprotected intercourse & in that period you were not on BC pills & did not take Emergency BC pills(I-pills) within 72 hours, you can get pregnant. Signs of early miscarriage are:-
1. Bleeding with a cramping pain in the lower abdomen that gets intensified into stronger contractions.
2. Passing blood clots, fluid & tissue material from the vagina.
You should try to save the pregnancy tissue so that it can be tested to confirm if you had a miscarriage.
If you are bleeding heavily & have strong pain, call emergency & get admitted in a hospital at the earliest. For pain you can take Tylenol or Combiflam, one sos.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
