its like a feeling of numbness
It is likely to be tendinitis.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query
I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. It is likely to be tendinitis of one of tendons most likely long head of biceps as pain occured after excessive workout, it aches on movements and shoulder has full range of movement. Treatment is rest to joint and analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. Vitamin B and C help in recovery. You should avoid workout and excercises of shoulder for few weeks.
In my clinical practice I found very good results of local triamcilone in tendinitis. You can discuss with your doctor about it. You can further investigate it by MRI of shoulder joint.
Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.
Wishing you a good health.
Take care.

Probably it is due to tendinitis
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back
It occurs probably due to tendinitis. In
tendinitis there is swelling in tendon and tendon sheath. When tendon moves during movement of shoulder (heavy weight lifting) it rubs against tendon sheath causing cracking sound.Rest already discussed.
