Suggest Remedy For Anal Itching

Posted on Fri, 20 May 2016
Question: I have had anal itching for around 6 weeks. I have examined the area myself and can't feel any haemorrhoids. It becomes worse if I am perhaps dehydrated or had a couple of alcoholic drinks. Also when I wear tight jeans and walk for some distance. I've tried suppositories and ointments like anusol. I have recently recovered from a herniated disc so not sure if that's caused any issues. I don't see any noticeable bleeding. Only when I maybe wipe too hard. Thanks

Brief Answer:
Worm infestation

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query.
Anal itch can be due to pin worm infestation.
In most of the cases it is difficult to find worm in stool.
I treat such cases with oral albendazole single dose.
It is safe and effective.
You can try this.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.
