Suggest Remedy For Bleeding After Erection Post Bladder Cyst Removal
Question: My boyfriend had bladder cysts removed about a month ago and now is experiencing bleeding after an erection. What could be causing this and is it normal? He had laser ablation.
Brief Answer:
Avoid straining for another two weeks.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX and welcome to HCM.
Well your concern is understandable. As an Urologist, i must point out to you,
that bleeding could occur from the site of laser ablation of cysts, as it takes about 4-6 weeks for complete healing of the wound in the bladder.
Any strain within this period, be it having intercourse, masturbation, straining while passing stools, lifting heavy weights, etc, can cause bleeding from that site.
All he needs to do is try and avoid any form of straining, for another two weeks.
In case there is continuous bleeding, he must see the same surgeon urgently.
Hope your doubt is cleared.
Wishing your boyfriend a speedy recovery.

Can he still have sex by petting or should he wait 2 weeks?
Brief Answer:
Petting is fine.
Detailed Answer:
Hi again.
Petting is fine as long as there's no physical strain.
