Suggest Remedy For Buttocks Pain After A Fall
Haematoma likely.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The hardness and the pain could be due to blunt trauma to the soft tissue leading to break in capillary blood vessels which in turn gives rise to haematoma (internal bleeding and clot). Rest assured it will subside in a week or two. But if you have persistent pain, please confirm the diagnosis with CT scan.
I'd suggest you apply ice packs to the area for the next 24 hours (this will help limit the bleeding in the injured areas), and then switch to warm packs, which will help your body clear the bruising away. (Remember to place a dry towel between your skin and an ice pack.)
Take a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory for your discomfort (e.g., ibuprofen or naproxen); these medications usually are well tolerated and don't interact.
If you have an increase in swelling (not bruise), Tenderness at the site and pain even in slight weight bearing than only you needs to do X-ray. or CT scan. Else, need not to worry.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
