Suggest Remedy For Hard Stool Along With Diarrhea In Children

More like constipation, get stool PCR done if possible
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM
I can understand your concern.
Clostridium difficile infection is usually uncommon after such short duration of antibiotic treatment. Also the stool pattern is not very much suggestive of C.difficile.
In C.difficile the stool is watery from the beginning and associated with mild to severe abdominal pain.Presence of blood in stool is a very common finding in C.difficile infection.
This stool pattern can be due to the antibiotic but all antibiotic associated diarrhea are not due to clostridium difficile infection.
The pattern of stool you are describing is more suggestive of constipation.
I won't get worried for this stool pattern if child is active, playful, there is no pain abdomen or abdominal distension, fever and stool is not mixed with blood.
I would suggest you to get a stool routine examination, culture (PCR if possible) done.Give him plenty of fluids and continue probiotics.
If the condition persists for longer duration or worsens please get him evaluated by a pediatrician.
Please let me know if you have any more query.
Wishing for your child's good health .
Regards
