Suggest Remedy For Headaches And Rash On The Temple
possibility of herpes zoster infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX milligan
According to your narration it seems that you have herpes zoster infection of trigeminal nerve distribution. Such infection is a reaction of virus in immunocompromised state. Are you diabetic or taking some steroid. Do you have any other diseases.
Herpes zoster is characterized by severe burning pain with water like filled lesions in a nerve distribution and are unilateral. It may also involve eyes.
You need to consult a dermatologist or neurologist for proper evaluation and treatment.
You can attach photos so that I can confidently tell you the diagnosis.
For treatment in herpes zoster infection we prefer to give local acyclovir ointment and tablet acyclovir 800 mg five times a day for 10 to 14 days or valacyclovir 1gm three times a day for 10 days. The treatment should be started within 72 hours.
Are you having hearing loss, facial deviation or lesions on ear.
Do get back to me for further queries.
Hope you recover early.
Wishing you good health.

Lesions are infected and will heal on antibiotics
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX milligian
I have viewed your image. It is definitely having pus in the boils and is infected requiring antibiotics topical as well as oral.
But sometimes herpetic lesions also develop secondary infection. So to diagnose herpetic lesions in later stage distribution of lesions is important.
If you feel free then send a profile and front image showing face and temple region in full.
For the time being continue antibiotics, apply local antibiotics and take pain killers.
Any episode of vomiting, blurring of vision, neck stiffness may be a serious symptoms and need reevaluation by doctor. Be vigilant.
Hope you recover early.
Wishing you good health. Regards
