Suggest Remedy For Inflammation On Testicle Skin
Question: I got miconazole nitrate on my testicle skin it dripped on from doing my nails it left a small dime size burn purple red it's been three days what should I do to treat it? I didnt notice it for 8 hours after contact. I've used coconut oil, aloe vera, and polysporin on it. showering twice a day. Should I see an emergency room or will it heal in time? No oozing no signs of infection just slight pain and an ugly burn mark red/purple.

Thanks for writing back and sending me the pictures.
They were clear and helpful.
Well miconazole is quite a safe drug even it is used as topical ointment for delicate places like vagina and it doesn't do any harm.
But your skin is probably sensitive to it so it responded like this.
I have seen the picture and your history as well tells me that it is not infectious yet , its inflammation.
It is expected to heal up in a week or so but the pigmentation will take some time to go... may be a month or two.
Here you also have to take care of the hygiene of the area because germs here are really virulant so keep the place clean and things will get better day by day.
You can keep using the ointment you are using its good.. don't use oils though..use petrolium gel after every 8 hours.
in a couple more day things will be much better..scrotal skin is really good at healing.
keep a close look at the red colour if its size starts getting bigger immediately visit E.r in few people scrotal gangrene develops after insults.
