Question: Hi, Recently I found a small lump(about 2mm in size) at my anal opening. Its causes itching when I walk and sometimes it causes little bleeding too. There is no pain but only itching like a pinching needle on that area. Please suggest what it can be, I am having this problem from past 5 months.

These are anal hemorrhoids and needs proper care and evaluation !!!

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for consulting and your trust in HCM means a lot to me as a Physician.
I have completely reviewed your health query, and well realize all those concerns. Being your physician, I will take care all of them today and will extend my expertise to solve the problems.

These are the typical symptoms of the anal hemorrhoids that are actually the dilated blood vessels at the anal verge.

You need proper evaluation of the hemorrhoids by a "General Surgeon". He will first take the history and will do thorough Physical examination. After that he may go for a battery of tests including but not limited to Complete Blood Counts, Anoscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, Proctoscopy. Sometimes patients have rectal prolapse disease (rectum comes down and is felt outside anus. Patient mistakes it as piles) and for that your Doctor may go for a Proctography Testing.

Some patients get thrombosed blood vessels inside hemorrhoids and we need to give a small XXXXXXX and resect the thrombosed vessels; and it is named surgical Excision.

Cause of hemorrhoids is mostly the portal hypertension disease which causes raised blood pressure in blood vessels in this area and you feel a lump at anal verge. Constipation, straining, weight lifting and chronic cough adds up in causes.

Management goes according to diagnosis after diagnostics is over. Your doctor will categorize the hemorrhoids as there is different treatment for different stage of disease.

General guideline:-
Avoid, weight lifting, straining, constipation.
Take CITRUCEL dietary fiber supplement with plenty of drinking water. Keep more fluids and fresh fruit juices in diet.
Take more vegetables, salads and fruits.
Wholegrain meals and no refined and western diets.
LACTULOSE SYRUP to avoid constipation.
Apply PROCORT RECTAL OINTMENT. It will alleviate the symptoms of irritation and itching. Avoid meats and spices in diets. Take bland diet. No caffeinated drinks and junk foods, beverages, alcohol and smoking.
Use SITZ-BATH for better recovery and healing.
