Brief Answer:
Need some more details

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

There are two causes where your father could loose his memory of present with symptoms of brain damage in present condition.

As a side effect of TACE. Here, microemboli aimed at killing liver tumor could have escaped to brain and caused minor ischemia resulting in memory loss.

Second, due to Hepatic encephalopathy due to deteriorating liver function.

I need to see the recent Liver function test report, based on which I could suspect what could be the cause for his memory impairment and what treatment can help.

Waiting for the reports,

Brief Answer:
Need not worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for the information.

The memory impairment could most probably be due to liver problem he has.

It is nit permanent, it will surely subside.

Yes, hepamerz will help. You can ask for any brand containing L-ornithine-L-aspartate.

Thank u so much for your helpful reply..
some more query sir,
1. Is it neccesarry to check ammonia level?..as it is not possible in our city..
2. How many days we should give hepamerz?from last 2 days we are giving it..
3. Is protien is harmful in this situation?if yes how many days we should avoid protien?
4. How much time it will take to recover from this memory loss problem?as condition is little bit better from last 2 days..
5. Is this problem can be due to too much medication from last 3 month due to tumour TACE procedure and sorafenib tablet 200 mg for tumour?we have stoped the use of sorafenib 200 mg tablet from last 3 days, because it ws giving too much weakness..so should we stop the use of sorafenib or will have to use it after recovery frm memory problem?
6. hands were also shivering but from last 2 days it is little normal..so it also shivering due to memory loss or what?
Thank you so much for your help sir..after seeing your positive reply family is satisfied..and hoping for the best..thnks for your kindly full support ..

Brief Answer:
Continue Hepamerz

Detailed Answer:
1. Is it neccesarry to check ammonia level?..as it is not possible in our city..

--I do not think so. You have to put him on hepamerz anyway.

2. How many days we should give hepamerz?from last 2 days we are giving it..

--Continue till his symptoms of memory fade.

3. Is protien is harmful in this situation?if yes how many days we should avoid protien?
--yes, it is harmful. It can build up ammonia. Avoid it till his liver parameters are normal.

4. How much time it will take to recover from this memory loss problem?as
condition is little bit better from last 2 days..

-- Cant say, may be days or a week or so. Its subjective, some fast some slow.

--I believe its necessary. yes, continue after your father is fine.

6. hands were also shivering but from last 2 days it is little normal..so it also shivering due to memory loss or what?

--No, shivering and memory loss are due to same underlying pathology. If shivering is gone then soon memory problems too will go.

Wish you good health.
