Question: PBack in March, I feel on black ice 4 times. Went to ER, nothing broken but I had deep muscle contusions. It hurt to walk for weeks. Now it seems like the muscles in the back.of my left thigh and behind me knee tighten up. My leg tends to tingle and I do tend to drag my leg at times when I walk. Sitting for more than 10 minutes is uncomfortable and I stiffen up. Pain radiates up into my pelvic area.

Brief Answer:
A local muscle problem or lower back issue

Detailed Answer:
hi thanks for your question,

the symptoms you are experiencing could be as a result of muscles strains in the area that you describe however they could also be secondary to a lumbar spine problem.

a careful physical examination may be able to identify the site of the problem. an MRI scan of your lumbar spine may be indicated.

regardless the the cause of your symptoms physiotherapy for stretching, range of motion and strengthening will be beneficial.

physiotherapist can also employ modalities such as ultrasound and laser which can help with muscle strains and tears.

I hope this answers your question.

best wishes
