Suggest Remedy For Numbness And Pain After Injury To Inner Legs

Question: Hi... My question is about a lingering injury. I was hit really hard with a softball last summer in my left inner leg, just above the ankle. It was really painful at the time, but its about 9 months later, and the area still feel bruised (not visibly) and when I touch the skin there it is slightly numb as well. I'm wondering is this normal? Could it be a blood clot?
Brief Answer:
It is not blood clot
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case and I think that it is not a blood clot as it is unlikely for a clot to remain there for 9 months. I think it can be a ligament or a cartilage injury. To confirm the diagnosis I would recommend you to get MRI of the ankle joint.
This will tell us if there is any ligament injury or a nerve injury. According to that we can plan for further management. Let me know if you want to ask any further questions.
thanks
