Brief Answer:
You need lifestyle changes with metformin

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend, greetings from HCM. I understand your concern. I have read your question. First you get your HbA1c, microalbuminuria, lipid profile and thyroid hormone levels done. Just taking tablets won't help in controlling your sugar levels. You need to be determined for lifestyle changes also with medications in time.
You need to avoid fast/ fried/ processed food stuff. Take more of green leafy vegetables, fruits, oats and fiber rich diet.
Milets have good amount of proteins and also mineral s which helps in controlling your sugar levels. So take milets in boiled firm or in bread form.
Take other sources of proteins like egg, fish and sprouts.
You need to exercise , at least walk for an hour daily .
Yoga, pranayama, meditation and aerobic exercise s will surely help you.
You get to our report s and meet your doctor. Discuss with him to add metformin too.
Feel free to ask more questions. THANK you.
