Question: I had a c section 7 weeks ago. Have not had a cycle yet. We have been having sex with no birth control cause we my baby was stillborn so we plan to have another one when we can. 3 days ago I started having sharp pains in my vaginal area. Now for the past 2 days I've had very light pinkish/yellow spotting only when I wipe. Could my cycle be finally coming back? Could it be a uterine infection? Implantation?

Need more information.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for the query!

I can understand your concern and appreciate your knowledge.

Your symptom can be due to infection, implantation bleeding or can be your impending period.

But to find out the most probable cause, I want to ask few questions from you.

-Are you having any type of vaginal discharge, itching and odor?
-any other associated symptom?
-When did you do sexual intercourse last time?
-Difficulty in passing urine and burning etc.
-Have you done any pregnancy test?

Please revert back to me with my answers.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Regards

last time we had sex was Friday and quite a few times before that. I had a really thick clear discharge about 5 days ago. I haven't taken a pregnancy test but have taken a few ovulation tests and all came back negative. No difficulty passing urine or anything like that. No itching. I've had a sore lower back though.

Brief Answer:
Go for a home urine pregnancy test.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Sorry for the delay in my response.

With your history it is most probably due to starting of your menses.

Because the chances of pregnancy are less as you were not ovulating but to rule out pregnancy you can go for a home urine pregnancy test.

The chances of infection is also very less as you are not having any symptom of infection other then discharge which can be found during normal menstrual cycle.

So wait for your menses for one week if you will not resume it then go for ultrasound pelvis to rule out the cause.

Hope it is useful, if you have no further query, please close the discussion and please accept my answer before closing it.

Regards
