Suggest Remedy For Pain Caused By A Frozen Shoulder

Question: I have sever pain in my shoulder.ihad surgery in march doing pt since but my shoulder froze up on me. witch i had it broken free about a week ago. I did good for a few days but now the pain is so sever in it i can't sleep at anytime. i had a CT scan to check for my rotater tare its good. but the pain is just below my shoulder. upper right arm i do ice and take pain meds. but do not get any relife at all. So I'm not sure what the cause is and what could it be.

Do you have any tingling or numbness in the arm or fingers ?

Any pain of bending the neck forward?

It is possible you could be having cervical spine spondylitis which can cause nerve pinching and pain that can radiate from the back of the neck top the shoulders. Avoid bending neck forward or lifting heavy weight. You cab take pain killer and muscle relaxant combination like Tablet Diclofenac and Thicolchicoside combination twice a day for 5 days. Apply hot water bag and not ice, twice a day. You can get a cervical spine Xray and upload it if possible.

Also if your Frozen shoulder has been treated by manipulation on giving Anaesthesia, it will take a few months to be comfortable provided your get treated for possible Diabetes or other systemic diseases. You should get good range of movement with the help of a good Physiotherapist.

yes i do have no feeling in my bicep are and at times in my thump. I had a CT scan done today and it came out good.so not sure why all the pain it. and no pain in my neck or bending it. the pain is all day and night it does not go away.is it possible i could have a tare in my shoulder besides my rotater in some are. ya the pain is so bad i can't sleep on my back or side even sitting up in a recliner. I'm stuck on what to do at this point. i did ask my doctor all the questions as well. so next monday he nxt step is storid shots in. and the numbness does not go away either in my biceps i think there is something wrong in there but don't know what it might be.

Hi there.

It is possible you may have a problem in your shoulder joint affecting the joint surfaces which can occur due to Frozen shoulder, Labral tears, Arthritis.

A steroid shot trial can be done to note if you are getting relief from an injection with Steroid and anaesthetic.

Also if you could upload your films for me I will be able to look out for Acromioclavicular joint arthritis.
