Brief Answer:
Suggestive of fibrocystic breasts

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Good morning.
I can understand your concerns.

It seems to be a benign condition of the breast due to hormonal changes.
Breast pain associated with irregular periods is referred to as fibrocystic breasts in which breasts are particularly sensitive to hormone changes before the menstrual cycles, hence pain tends to be most bothersome just before menstruation.

I would advise you to get clinically examined by a doctor.
You may be required to undergo certain tests like mammography, ultrasound or FNAC (fine needle aspiration cytology) to rule out other possibilities.

Meanwhile,

1. Wear a soft bra at night & make sure your bra fits correctly.
2. Avoid jogging, aerobics or other high-impact exercises.
3. If you are taking any hormones, such as the oral contraceptive pills consider stopping them for a while to see if the breast pain lessens. Breast pain seems to be common in women who have recently started oral contraceptive pills.
4. Take NSAID pain killers (Ibuprofen) for the relief of pain.
5. Try a low-fat diet. There is some evidence that high levels of saturated fats in the blood make the breasts more sensitive to hormone levels, so it may be worth changing your diet.
6. Avoid fatty meat, cheese, full-fat milk, cream, butter and anything made of pastry. Instead eat oily fish, such as herring and mackerel, twice a week.
7. Increase the intake fruits, vegetables
8. Avoid coffee and cola drinks for a few weeks to see if this makes any difference

Hope the suggestions given above could be of great help.
Best regards.
