Suggest Remedy For Pain In Ears While Suffering From Swollen Occipital Lymph Node

I have a palpable octipital lymph node on the right side which I noticed 2 years ago about the size of a pea. My doctor said it was nothing to worry and come back if it becomes bigger. It hasn't got any bigger until now. However I get pain in the ears while having alcohol. I don't drink much but it has happened on most occasions. Can you please advise if I need to take any further steps?
Get the lymph node removed.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
First, you should get the lymph node removed and send it for histopathological examination ( Biopsy ). Exact diagnosis will be confirmed. If it is simple Chronic Nonspecific lymphadenopathy, nothing has to be done further.
Pain in the ear could be due to esophagitis from Alchohol, where the pain is referred from esophagus to ear through vagus nerve.Apart from.this, pain could be due to dental caries, pharyngitis, tonsillitis etc.Hope , everything is normal in your head and neck including oral cavity . Sometimes, tonsillectomy cause is not known.
In my opinion, you should take Proton pump inhibitor like Esmoprazole before taking Alchohol.
Hope I answered your query.
If you have any questions or come back after Biopsy report, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
