Brief Answer:
you should get X ray chest PA view done

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I am Dr.Rajesh Teli,MD.
I have gone through your query. Thanks for using HCM.
First of all you should know one thing that it is not necessary that your chest pain is due to cancer. It may be simply due to infection in smoker's lung.i would suggest that you should get X ray chest PA view done. This will give us primary information on lung picture.Only if there is some abnormality then only we should go for CT sacn of thorax. You should get base line routine investigations like Haemogram( blood report) and urine analysis.
It is indeed good that you have stopped smoking,Best way of prevention !
I would be happy to guide you further once you inform about your reports.
My best wishes

Brief Answer:
X ray chest is normal

Detailed Answer:
hello Dear,
Your X ray chest is quite normal.Don't worry about cancer.you have taken right step by stopping smoking which itself is prevention for lung cancer for you.from your blood reports and x ray picture i can tell you that as on today you don't have cancer lung.so don't worry.
As far as your pain is concerned you may take simple analgesic like Aceclopara .
If your pain persists then you should consult a physician to find out other cause. One thing I can assure that you do not have cancer of lung as on today. So give up fear and if your symptoms persist consult a physician for evaluation
