Suggest Remedy For Persistent Nausea And Hip Pain

Clinical evaluation, examination, tests, management
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Female/52 - hit by a car on your *right side when you were 19, almost 33 years back - you started the pain *left leg/hip 3 rd week of XXXXXXX - nausea - no relief with meds - chiropractor - no help - can not lift left foot more than an inch - up all night - gained weight in past 2 years - taking synthroid which is not helping...
The commonest causes I can think of after reading your history carefully are:
Prolapsed inter-vertebral disc in lumbar spine as the pain is in the hip and down the leg, making lifting leg difficult.
Local hip joint problem as you have though of a rare thing like labral tear.
I would advise you the following since you have history of an accident in past, now have incapacitating pains now:
Consult an Orthopedic Surgeon for clinical evaluation, examination and getting the proper MRI tests of lumbar spine and/or hip on affected side. To get appropriate medications.
Till you get an appointment, please consult your Family Physician or PCP to get the same things as mentions above.
AT the same time you will be evaluated, examined and the relevant tests done for your thyroid and any other medical condition including the weight gain.
I hope this answer helps you to get an early and proper diagnosis and get a plan for treatment.

You are most welcome
