Suggest Remedy For Persistent Skin Rashes Spreading All Over The Body

Infection is a possibility
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to the site.
I am Dr V XXXXXXX a Sr Dermatologist.
I have reviewed the details and the pic. I feel it could be due to an infection, most likely a mite. However, once I receive more details from you, it would help us a lot in devising a plan to get rid of the problem.
In the meantime, please follow the undermentioned measures:
1 Sponge the areas repeatedly
2 Apply Crotamiton containing preparations. These are good for control of itching.
3 Anti-allergic like Levocetirizine 5 mg a day or comparable compound
4 Avoid preservative containing foods, perfume or deodorants
You are requested to supply the information on following points:
1 Duration of rash
2 areas covered
3 pattern of itching, like mostly in the evenings or at night
4 Medicines taken so far and their impact
5 Any other medication for some other disorder
6 Few more pics
7 Prescriptions given by the other doctors
I hope you will send this information soon so that your query can be taken up promptly.
Best wishes from us!

2 started on lower right forearm and gradually spread to whole body
3 worse at night or when I am more active during the day
4 gabepentin which stops the itching if I take it diligently. Itching begins again if I skip a dose. Same thing with benedryl and tylenol. Recently had 2 treatments of ivermectin 3mg, take 6 each week for 2 weeks. Itching still present.
5 I take quite a few medicines: zyloprim, elavil, wellbutrin, colace, prozac, atarax, hydrocondon acedameniphen, seroquel, trazadone...plus the others I mentioned before. Also, many supplements.
6 I ll try to get some more pics, that follow
7 All the medications I just listed were prescribed by doctors.
I examined my wounds with an 8x magnifying glass which is strong enough to reveal a tiny black/brown spot on the skin near each scratch lesion. The spot was too small for me to identify what they are in any detail.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam
Thanks for your information.
In the wake of recent information, I would have suggested the following revised plan to my patients:
1 To keep your bed linen and clothing separate.
2 Weekly application of preparation of Permethrin or GBHC: First take a bath, apply first coat with massage to whole body except head and face, repeat second and third coats 12 hrs and 24 hrs later without bath, have another bath 12 hrs later.
To be done every week for 4 weeks with simultaneous disinfection of personal clothing and bed linen by steam pressing or boiling.
3 Crotamiton as often as needed for local application
If there is any oozing at present, then that has to be tackled first with locally applied antibiotics.
4 Antiallergics, as adv in previous post
It would be reasonable to expect response some days later and in some cases, might take one or two weeks. During this period anti allergics and Crotamitoon are a great help.
Once again, thanks for writing in and we hope you are well again soon.

Best wishes

Hi Madam
Thanks for your reply. Scabies is a possibility while it does not appear to be related to a neurological condition.
We wish you early recovery.
