requires assessment
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
The most common cause of pink or red discharge is the presence of blood. If it is in very small quantities , it would not be seen on wiping or consistently.
Post menopausal bleeding is most usually related to: (1) polyps or non cancerous growths on the cervix
(2) endometrial (endometrium is internal lining of uterus) polyps, which are benign,
(3) endometrial cancer
(4)vaginal atrophy- with aging the walls of the vagina and other aspects of the uterus and cervix, undergo atrophy or aging. This can cause bleeding
(5)infection
The cause would need to be confirmed. Any suspicion of post menopausal bleeding needs to be investigated.
Assessment involves : (1) physical vaginal examination to detect any issues with the uterus or cervix
(2)ultrasound- to take a look at the thickness of the endometrium and identify any issues
(3)endometrial biopsy
It would be best to visit your doctor for an assessment.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
