I read your question and i understand your concern. Movement / poking in left upper quadrant of the abdomen for only a few hours since last night is nothing to worry about. gastric discomfort is the likely explanation of it. Touching the area is pressure analgesia making the possibility of a sore abdomen / muscle spasm more likely.

I would like you to take some tylenol and some pepto and see if it helps. Otherwise you will need some evaluation and some detailed history and examination to sort out the likely cause which is benign for sure and nothing to worry about.
