Suggest Remedy For Severe Fever With Sore Throat, Chills And Post Nasal Drip

Upper respiratory tract infection, follow the measures as suggested
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome
I have gone through your query.
Based on the information provided by you, it is a upper respiratory tract infection.
Most URTIs are viral in nature, i do not think it has turned to bacterial and it will resolve with self-care at home with or without over-the-counter (OTC) medicines.
Presently I would suggest you to drink plenty of fluid, as it promotes drainage of secretions. So keep drinking warm water, tea and soup at regular intervals. Avoid alcohol, coffee and cigarettes.
Gargling with warm salt water several times a day is one of the most effective remedies for a scratchy and painful throat. Drinking warm lemon water with honey may also help soothe a sore throat. You can also try over the counter cough lozenges.
Steam inhalation with few drop of eucalyptus oil will be helpful for nasal congestion. Do it two to three times a day. Nasal spray like xylometazoline, some mucus/phlegm dissolving medication like acetylcysteine will be beneficial. Try this measures you will be fine.
Post nasal drip usually occurs in URTI and will be subside with the above measures. Blood might be due to congestion of the throat and by coughing.
This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.
Hope this helps.
Take care.

Follow the measures mentioned in earlier post and oral antihistamine
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Good to hear from you.
Kindly follow the measures as suggested for four to five days, there should be improvement.
Along with the above mentioned measures you can take over the counter oral antihistamine (like cetrizine) during bedtime, which will be beneficial in post nasal drip.
If it persists beyond a week, I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist for examination and to decide on the requirement of course of antibiotic.
Hope this helps.
Take care

Yes, follow it for week.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Yes, at least for week, then if persists, you might need a course of antibiotic.
