Suggest Remedy For Subchorionic Bleeding During 7 Weeks Of Pregnancy

default
Posted on Mon, 7 Dec 2015
Question: Just went to my first prenatal appointment I'm 7weeks & 5 days today, during the ultra sound I got to see the baby clearly and heard the heartbeat it was 132bpm, the tech said that heartbeat was great and that the baby was measuring well. Then I was sent into the waiting room and my doctor called my husband and I in and said that after looking at the ultrasound they noticed some blood around the baby! She said she would schedule to come back in a week 11/20 to do another ultra sound and see how the baby is, she said the baby may survive or I may miscarry, she didnt diagnose me with anything and i have yet to have any spotting or bleeding, she just put me on pelvic rest for a week

Brief Answer:
It is subchorionic bleeding

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Ms

Going by description it is subchorionic bleeding. Bleeding sometimes occurs at the site of attachment of placenta around the growing fetus. The assuring fact is the heart rate is good and baby measurements are normal. In such situation if adequate rest is provided , the probability of continuing with pregnancy is high .

Your doctor has rightly advised you about bed rest ( it should be strictly followed). Any vaginal bleeding should be immediately reported to your treating Obstetrician.

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Wishing you a happy and safe pregnancy

Thank you Dr. XXXXXXX are you able to tell where the blood is by looking at the ultrasound? Like whether it is on top of the placenta, behind, right, left, etc?

Brief Answer:
Not possible to say with single static image

Detailed Answer:
dear Ms

That is not possible to say with single static image, but the amount of bleeding is not too much. I would suggest you to presently stop worrying about the ultrasound report. It is advisable to be relaxed, ensure good intake of nutritional food and water and take adequate rest.

Thank you, i did visit the ER yesterday and they gave me the same news as my doctor, but i wanted to share the results with you and ask if you could let me know whether you think the chance of misscarriage are high for me after looking at the results, i dont have my next ultrasound until friday so i'am anxious to see what will happen

Brief Answer:
Serial ultrasound examination will be required

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ms

One reassuring thing in the report is the fatal cardiac activity is seen indicating a viable pregnancy and also the gestational age is correctly measured.
The cause of worry are yolk sac is not seen and there is debris in gestational sac(indicating possibly bleeding ).
The prognosis is guarded with such findings. Close follow up and serial Ultrasound examination along with serum Beta HCG measurement is the option at present. Absolute bed rest and reporting any vaginal bleeding is very important.

Do get back to me anytime you need any assistance.
Lets pray and keep finger crossed

Take Care

Regards
Shobha Deepak
