Question: mty mother fell on the ice yesterday she has a swollen eye a small cut and her hands are very bruised and somewhat swollen as well as her knees is there any thing that she should do other than ice the eye she is able to walk and move everything but she did not see her doctor I don't think anything is broken just badly bruised

Pain medications such as Tylenol and Ibuprofen would be helpful. Ice pads would also help accelerate the resolution of symptoms.

Please, falls can be catastrophic. I will suggest that you often look after her to avoid any future falls. We are very lucky she went unscathed this time around.
