Question: would a catscan of the sinuses show if a melanoma was starting on my forehead since you can see the frontal sinuses in the forehead too?

A CT scan can show is there is a growing mass in the sinus. However, it cannot directly establish that it is a melanoma as melanomas require a biopsy for diagnosis. if the CT scan shows nothing in the sinuses, then there is nothing to be worried about. If it however shows something else, then it will be vital follow up with a biopsy to determine what is going on.

In all, at CT scan can help in establishing such a diagnosis but all by itself it cannot.
