Suggest The Ideal Dosage While Shifting From Humalin Insulin Kiwi Pen To Novlog's Pen

Question: I am having to change my Humalin Insulin Kiwi pen to Novlog's pen. Will my sliding scale and dosage be the same as it is now?
Brief Answer:
There is inly a slight difference;
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
Humalog and Novolog are both rapid acting insulins. Humalog is the brand-name version of insulin lispro, and Novolog is the brand-name version of insulin aspart.
The only difference of the two types of insulin is that Novolog acts 5 minutes earlier than Humalog, so you do not have to wait 15 min to have the meal but 5 to ten minutes.
The dosage will be the same.
Hope the information will help.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
