Question: hello doctor, want to know who is better person to to do surgery on osteocondroma on rib. should it be orthopedic surgeon or cardio thoracic surgeon. I have osteocondroma on 11th rib.

If there is intraspinal or intrapleural extension [osteochondroma growing inside ] then cardio thoracic or general surgeon specialist in chest surgery can operate on osteochondroma.

If osteochondroma is growing outside, and can be felt by palpation then orthopaedic surgeon also can remove it.
