Brief Answer:
Get x-ray done.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through your query.
If you have not pain then you should not
massage it. It takes about 2-3 weeks for
bruise to disappear. If you still have any doubt, you should get x-ray of chest focusing fractured rib in AP view done and discus it with orthopedic surgeon. He will do physical examine of you and after tallying the report advise you further treatment.
Some times bruise take a little longer time to disappear as it depends upon, size of the bruise, the depth of bruising, status of the clotting factors in the blood, diet, whether there is another
injury in combination with the
soft tissue trauma, immune status of the person, and blood flow to the area, all these are checked by examining doctor.
I hope it helps.
