Brief Answer:
Control of BP in a cardiac patient
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Since you are not having good control of BP with Sartel-H 40 (Telmisartan 40 mg, Hdrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg) ,the other antihypertensive drug which can be added in your case (having also coronary artery disease -heart attack 03 weeks back) is Beta-adrenergic blocker e.g.Metoprolol or Alpha-adrenergic /Beta-adrenergic blocker e.g.Carvedilol.
However the drug and dosage has to be decided by treating doctor/cardiologist to bring down to goal BP of =/< 140/90 mm hg.
