Question: my mother is around 88 years of age. she does not have any other problem except Blood pressure ( whihc is well under control with tenaclor 50 mg). Mild sugar which is fasting 126 and PP 200 (which again on taking blisto 1 mf one in the morning and one at night before food). Her memory is very sharp and she does all her routine by herself. On last monday suddenly she had memory lapse ( we are surprised as it was very sudden) and from then on she talks irrelevant things and she is not able to co-ordinate and she forgets everything. She forgot to take her daily tablets and we had to give her. Her speech is also not coherent. She herself says that she can recall things at times and does not remember things sometime. She has vertigo for which occasionally she took vertin. She watches soaps on computer ( not on TV) with earphones ( as she is little hard of hearing). She looks very depressed and does not talk much and not involved in household talks. Please let me know whether it is depression or Alzheimer. (As far as my knowledge goes Alzheimer is gradual but this is sudden). Please let me know if I can give her any tablets by which she regains her memory and does her daily chores.
I want to know if the headset/earplugs have done something to brain or it is something else. She has also lost her concentration.
