Brief Answer:
Possible pneumonia, send him to ER if getting worse

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through the medical history of your husband and understood your concern.

1. Having fever, chills, no appetite, are suggestive of possible flu or viral infection.

If his problems with breathing are getting worse, and the fever is not getting down, then, pneumonia is suspected. Should go to ER for immediate medical assistance.

Give him OTC antipyretic like ibuprofen or mephenamic acid. Please give also regularly the meds he might Have been prescribed for the breathing problems.

2. Do not worry for the loss of appetite, that is due to flu. He will regain the appetite after getting better. Encourage to have soups, fruit juice, etc.

3. With regards to the lump in his head, can you please specify where? is it hard or soft? movable or not? painful when touching?

4. If you see that his health condition is aggravating, then send him to the nearest ER, including the one you prefer.

Hope it was of help.
Wish fast recovery.
