Brief Answer:
Eustachian tube dysfunction, consult ENT surgeon

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in.

I have read through your query in detail.
The ear and throat are connected by a tube named Eustachian tube. Any conditions with the ear might lead to blockage of these tubes leading to pressure variation across the them. When you swallow, the difference in pressure tries to equalize and this causes a pop if the tube is blocked.

Eustachian tube dysfunction occurs if the Eustachian tube becomes blocked, or if the lining of the tube becomes swollen, or if the tube does not open as it should to allow air to travel to the middle ear.

The condition might last few days or a week and no particular treatment is needed. As you are having it for two weeks, please get treated for your ear condition completely.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
