Question: sUFFERING FROM CHILLS, REFLUX
oRIGINALLY HE WAS TAKING OMEPROZOLE FOR GERD. ON FRIDAY HIS HEART DOCTOR SAID TO STP TAKING OMEPROZOLE AND HE STARTED GETTING REFLUX. HE ALSO TAKES RATANDINE. STARTED TO GIVE HIM BAKING SODA/WATER AND WORKED FOR A SHORT WHILE. THIS MAN HAS HEART DISEASE. aLSO TRIED PEPTO BISMOL AND TONIGHT HE STILL HAS CHEST PAIN AND IS VERY COLD.

I read your question and i understand your concern. I wonder why would a doctor stop so well working omeprazole when it is not contraindicated in any way in heart patients. Stopping that was a bad idea and it led to recurrence of symptoms. I would suggest consider taking omeprazole as it is not contraindicated in heart problems. So just start taking omeprazole , modify diet and lifestyle, eat small frequent meals, avoid triggers like alcohol, coffee, tea, stimulants, sweets, chocolates spices, dairy products, processed canned foods . Delay lying down after the meals for at least 3 hours. I am sure these will help.
