Suggest Treatment For GERD And Severe Itching

Question: I have terrible GURD and my extremities are itching like crazy, slow onset of asthma symtoms, is this an allergic reaction?
Brief Answer:
Do you mean GERD?
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for contacting us at healthcare magic.
I will suggest that you report all the symptoms. This will allow me to review and make a comprehensive opinion. Also, precise if you mean GERD or GURD? It might be better spell it out fully so that we don't focus on something else. On that same note, listing symptoms that make you feel is asthma would be more informative than summarizing to say asthma symptoms alone.
I hope you would review the content and post to me again for insights and guidance.

Yes, I meant GERD.
This has been going on for around 2 years, typical onset of symptoms normally comes after a night of heavy eating, and/or drinking and smoking. The issue is that I could go out 5 times with no issues, on the 6th time out, I have the following symptoms. As such, its been difficult to establish a consistent causal relationship between my actions, and the eventual symptoms.
Symptoms:
-- Severe GERD, almost painful acid reflux
--Itchy skin, over whole body (bad on scalp, feet and under arm)
--Site rashes come as a result of scratching, that look like red marks, go away once symptoms subside
-- Have had what I describe as bas Asthma like symptoms at least twice, very scary
-- Feelings of Nausea, but not productive
-- At times it seems like antihistamines help
-- I went to see an Allergy doctor who performed a thorough panel evaluation, found nothing.

Brief Answer:
GERD is the problem.
Detailed Answer:
HI,
GERD is the problem. Symptoms of asthma as part of GERD. This is because the acid causes reactive constriction of airways and difficulties to breath.
Alcohol, large meals, cigarettes, chocolates, etc are factors that worsen GERD. You should endeavor to control them. Eating late at night is discouraged and going soon to be after meals is not advised. It will be helpful to use a head pillow while sleeping in bed.
Itches after a night out are side effects of alcohol. Though uncommon, they have been reported.
Best way forward is for your to readjust your lifestyle. Alcohol, smoking, large meals late at night, etc. should be discontinued. Take omeprazole 20mg daily when symptoms start. If they persist, I will encourage you to see a gastroenterologist for evaluation and probably an endoscopy examination.
I hope this helps and guides. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.
