Suggest Treatment For GERD
Question: For those with lung conditions, is it better to live in cold or warm climates, less dry or more dry climates, lower or higher altitudes? And why?
Brief Answer:
Moderately warm, moderately dry climates in low altitudes preferable
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. Lung conditions usually have an allergic component associated. Such allergic conditions flare up in cold and humid climates. It would therefore be preferable if the climate is moderately warm and moderately dry. Lower altitudes would be preferable as the air density comes down with rise in altitude (and so does the temperature) thus leading to the likelihood of breathing difficulties.
Let me know if I could help further.

Brief Answer:
Clean air was advocated
Detailed Answer:
Yes drinking much water before bed can aggravate GERD problems in many people.
Practices have evolved a lot. It was earlier thought that ailments like tuberculosis were due to lack of fresh air. The air in desolate places like Swiss Alps was considered pure and clean and that was the reason for the rehabilition centers being located there.
Modestly high altitudes can be ok but high altitudes can be a source of problem.
Cold and humid climates are avoidable but soothing temperatures with moderately high humidity can be ok.
