Brief Answer:
You have a significant infection which requires complete treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxxxxxxxxxxx,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. Klebsiella is a type of bacteria which causes infections. There are 3 species which causes disease in humans in klebsiella called klebsiella pneumoniae, klebsiella oxytoca, and klebsiella granulomatis. These are a dangerous group of bacteria and need to be treated with antibiotics for a one or two weeks.

2. The medicine called zinnat 500 mg contains cefuroxime which is from cephalosporin group and is a powerful antibiotic and probably your doctor has seen that the klebsiella infection you have can be treated from the culture and sensitivity report.

3. You can take zinnat 500 mg two times a day if your doctor has recommended, it looks like your infection is moderate and requires the antibiotic for two weeks.

Hope your query is answered.

Brief Answer:
There are multiple routes and focus of klebsiella infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxxxxxxxxxx,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. Klebsiella is an infection causing bacteria. It usually causes infection in the lungs which is community acquired, urinary infections, genital infections, hospital acquired infections and with other sexually transmitted infections.

2. It is important to know the focus of your infection before discussing the route of infection which probably affected you.

3. Precautions depend on the site of infection and if it is lungs then probably you got it from any one affected your surroundings. If it is urinary or genital then it can be from sexual intercourse. If you were hospitalized then that can be the cause for infection. Therefore keeping yourself safe and clean is the precaution.

Hope your query is answered.
