Are There Any Medication For Ear Infection Without Penicillin During Pregnancy?

Dear Mr/Mrs. Actually My wife is ((Pregnant)) in her 8th months, she has an Ear Infection so we visited the ENT consultant and he prescribed her Antibiotic called Zinnat 500mg (Cefuroxime),, but my Wife has an allergy towards Penicillin , so should she start this medication or not ???
