Suggest Treatment For MRSA Infection In A Child

It is a treatable condition
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for asking on this platform
Mercer disease is caused by infection of Methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
As this bacterial infection is resistant to penicillin group of antibiotics, there are newer generation antibiotics like vancomycin (needs to be given intravenously)and linezolid;an oral for.
Child with MRSA infection may remain asymptomatic or may have serious pneumonia or skin disease.
I would like to know the exact symptoms in your grandchild like if there is any skin infection, sore throat, pneumonia or urinary tract infection.Because it's not the infection only but also the site of infection which determines the likely outcome.
Please get back to me.
Thanks and regards

THANK YOU SO MUCH TALKING TO ME. I AM SO WORRIED ABOUT HER BEING SO YOUNG. ANY THING ELSE YOU CAN TELL ME I WOULD APPRECIATE IT VERY MUCH.
Pneumonia due to MRSA can be treated well
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for follow up
I can understand your concern. The symptoms are suggestive of pneumonia and as MRSA has grown in the swab it needs to be treated vigorously.
In case she has swallowing difficulty and severity of infection is more IV antibiotic like vancomycin or teicoplanin will help.
I suggest you not to get overly worried as the MRSA is difficult to manage but it's not impossible. If treated properly there is high probability of complete recovery.
Wishing for your grandchild's good health.
I shall be glad to help you out if you need any kind of help.
Regards
