Suggest Treatment For Meniere's Disease

default
Posted on Wed, 11 Mar 2015
Question: I know I have Meniere's disease. Today I seem to have more severe symptoms: head really ringing (mainly in right ear - very loud!); balance is precarious and appears unexpectedly; eyes seem to not work well together; fatigue; less energy; ears sensitive to loud sounds; generally experiencing malaise.
Thank you for your help.

Brief Answer:
Please consult your doctor...

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting the query

After going through the history, I do feel you may not be having a classical MD. But, the other causes of tinnitus and dizziness such as vascular related issues in the brain, migraine, hearing loss, or age related changes have to be evaluated.

Decreased sound tolerance, may be due hyperacusis (perception of over-amplification of environmental sounds), which is one of the common audio logical problems in elderly.

My humble suggestion to you is to consult your doctor for a complete evaluation and management. Even though, taking some medicines such as betahistine or cinnarizine can give you some relief from the present problem, I would still insist you to consult your doctor at the earliest.

Hope I have answered your query; I'll be available for the follow up queries.
