Suggest Treatment For PCOS

Question: Hello Dr . XXXXXXX ,
I hope you remember me , you had helped me with my PCOS related query .
I want to thank you immensely , on your advice I have been on Metformin and also gymming regularly and for the first time got my periods without any pills .
My concern was usually I hv seen my menstrual blood is dark with many clots but this time it's very bright red and have seen a few pink coloured cells / skin falling ... what could this be ?
Will this now help me loose weight as well ?
I have been gymming 6 days / cardio functional yoga and weight training .
I look tonned and have lost inches but weight has not shifted at all
Waiting for your response .
Thank you

Brief Answer:
Weight loss will be apparent after few months
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I am happy to have helped you.
Weight loss starts by toning of muscles.
Apparent weight loss is visible only after the initial 2-3 months of exercise.
You should continue with the exercise and metformin.
Pink coloured menstrual blood is most likely the uterine lining or the endometrium which is shed in the menstruation.
There is nothing to worry about that.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
