Suggest Treatment For TMJ Disorder And Lump Feeling In Throat
Yes, that is common symptom.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I had gone through your question. Nothing to worry. This is very common to have a lumpy sensation and chewing problems in TMJ (temporo mandibular joint) arthritis. I do get many patients of TMJ arthritis with these symptoms.
I recommend the following
1) Analgesics for TMJ pain relief.
2) Physiotherapy : stretch and strengthen jaw muscles and relieve TMJ arthritis
symptoms. Many of my patients found effective relief from physiotherapy.
3) Avoid over use of jaw muscles. You can eat soft foods, avoid eating chewing gums if at all you have this habit.
4) If conservative measures fail, surgical measures like joint repair or joint replacement is advised.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions, I am happy to help you.
Wish you a speedy recovery and good health. Take care.
