Suggest Treatment For UTI During Pregnancy
Question: Hi, My wife is in third trimester (37 Weeks +). She has minor UTI.
Urine Routine Test : [Specific Gravity : 1.025, PH : 6, RBCS\HPF : 12-15, WBCS\HPF : 3-4,
Epith Cells/HPF : 10-15, Cast and Crystal and albumin : Nil ]
She has history of reoccurring UTI from last one year. Her doctor has prescribed niftran trice a day for 7 days. Is it totally safe dose in this stage of pregnancy. Please advise urgently.
