1.How long is the swelling seen?
2.Whether it is painful?
3.Whether surrounding area is red?
4.Can you sit comfortably over hard surface?
If the duration is short and the swelling is painful, it could be due to infection. Antibiotic and anti inflammatory tablets will help.
If it is of longer duration, it could be either Lipoma (fat swelling ) or Sebaceous cyst.
Please post the pic if you do not have any objection.
