Brief Answer:
You can wait with it.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Can you please attach a photo of it?
For sure its nothing serious. And it is not an emergency problem.
Most likely you have a lipoma under the skin or some other kind of benign lump. As long as it does not grow fast, is not tender and swollen, no need to really be worried about it.
You may have an ultrasound of this lump (scheduled, not right away) and consider it removal for cosmetic reasons.
Hope this helps. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

Brief Answer:
It may irritate the rib nerve.
Detailed Answer:
If it does compress the rib nerve or irritates it somehow, that kind of pain is possible. It may be also infected and cause the pain because of that, but its hard to tell not being able to see it. Again, if it is not tender, no redness, swelling, you may wait.
