Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Cramps, Diarrhea And Vomiting

Question: Hi doctor , I am having loose motions , vomiting, and stomach cramps since 2 days and my last period was on 18 September and I had IUI on 4 October and since then my periods have not arrived . I have taken pregnancy test both urine and blood but both are negative. I am concerned why is this happening and what re the causes .

Hi,

I understand your concerns.

These symptoms of cramps, Vomiting and diarrhea are unrelated to pregnancy. These are likely to be due to food poisoning. Drink more water and avoid medicines. This will subside in next 2 days.

Do serum beta hCG blood test which is more better option for getting pregnancy results early than urine pregnancy test.

But why are my periods late as i have done a blood test for pregnancy also and it was negative ..and it has been 8 days that my period is overdue .. so why my period has not arrived

Delayed periods are common once in a while. Delayed periods are due to stress, excess traveling, Weight gain etc...

This is normal to have delayed periods once in a while. Don't worry about it.

Thanks doctor .. i have got my periods now and i am disappointed but now i want to know this is the first time i had through iui and result was negative but now should i go for another iui or i should go for ivf to increase chance of pregnanc y
