Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain Along With Nausea

I have had abdominal pain the 4 months, accompanied by nausea. Had blood work down and my lipase is low (5) and my glucose is high (116). All other results are normal.
I have a ct scan on Thursday.
Just wondering of you feel those number indicate pancreatic cancer.
Thank you.
No cancer
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
although a lot of data are lacking for an accurate diagnosis and the CT would help a lot of course, I can reassure you that low lipase and moderately high glucose is not a sign of pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic cancer may cause diabetes (which causes high glucose levels) but most cases of hyperglycemia are not caused by cancer! Actually diagnosing cancer with hyperglycemia as the presenting symptom is rare.
Lipase can be increased in pancreatic injury, cancer or inflammation. Low lipase does not mean cancer either!
Since the pain is prolonged the CT scan is required and would help exclude a lot of potential causes. Other tests might be needed depending on the symptoms (you haven't provided a detailed description), like endoscopy of the intestine (colonoscopy) etc
I hope I've helped!
Kind Regards!

No other test planned at this time besides a colonoscopy once the ct scan is done.
Sounds like a reasonable investigation plan but more might be needed
Detailed Answer:
A burning sensation in the stomach usually suggests peptic ulcer. This can be diagnosed with endoscopy of the upper gastrointestinal system. The gallbladder can sometimes cause symptoms that seem like stomach problems but the CT scan can confirm or exclude gallbladder problems.
Colicky pain on the abdomen is usually caused by the intestine or the gallbladder. Intestinal pain is typically relieved with defecation. If you've had no diarrhea or blood in the stool then some of the most serious conditions can be excluded. But the colonoscopy would help.
Kind Regards!

I do have moderately high blood pressure. 140:80. It's been high for last three years. I have never been treated - thinking that it was because I was nervous. Could elevated blood pressure be causing the raise in glucose/low lipase/abdominal pain?
Before this problem, I have led a very clean life. Runner, healthy eater, a little heavy but not "fat". I do have a lot of stress tho.
stress can be the cause
Detailed Answer:
The elevated blood pressure cannot cause cause high blood glucose although they are frequently associated. Some antihypertensive medications can, like the diuretics. If you have a family history of diabetes then this would be enough reason to justify your high glucose. The abdominal pain cannot be attributed to hypertension either.
Psychological stress is frequently associated to intestinal symptoms.
Kind regards!
