Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain And Red Discolouration In Stool Caused By Diarrhea
a few questions for you
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,
I am sorry you are sick! I have a few questions for you; your answers will help guide my response.
1. Are any of the BMs black or tarry looking?
2. Do you have fevers? If so, how high?
3. How many BMs are you having/day?
4. By "red/pink" color, do you mean it looks like blood?
5. Is the red mixed in the stool? Is it on the outside of the stool? Is it in the toilet water (making the water red)? Is there blood on the toilet paper?
6. How severe is the pain? And is it all over your abdomen or in one certain area?
7. Do you have a history of hemorrhoids?
8. Anyone else sick with gastrointestinal symptoms at home?
9. Have you eaten or drunk anything with red or purple food coloring, or beets?
Thanks. Will respond with specific advice after hearing back.

Thanks for the answers you provided. Given the frequency of the number of BMs and pain, the likelihood that you are passing some blood, and that this has been going on for 3 days, I think it is time for you to go in for evaluation in person.
When people have frequent diarrhea (for any reason), sometimes there is irritation of hemorrhoids or the anal tissues, that can bleed a bit, but usually there is more blood on the toilet paper than in the water.
It is possible that you got a gastroenteritis (stomach flu) and the inflammation is causing some bleeding from the colon. But it is also possible this an inflammatory process of the colon such as diverticulitis, ulcerative colitis, or Crohn's is going on. But with these there is often nausea (with diverticulitis) and fever (with any of these).
I see you live in XXXXXXX (Central Standard Time?) so I imagine urgent care clinics are closed. I think you have two reasonable options: call your doctor's number and get the oncall doctor and discuss tonight, and be seen tomorrow; or go to the ER tonight.
I hope you are doing better soon! If possible, please let me know how you are doing.
