Brief Answer:
Findings of the CT may not be correlating to the symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and concern for your brother : male /51 years - not a malingerer - does hard physical labor - pain in abdomen - 10 days - ER - kidney stones on CT scan - no treatment - another Doctor says no kidney stones - What could it be.

I would have been happy to get more detailed information like:
- CT scan Report
- Character / severity of pain ?
- Associated symptoms like nausea, vomiting, bloating, bowel movements, fever ?
- Any previous medical problems / Medications (past history) ?
-Any treatment and suggestions given by the second Doctor ?

Your query : What could it be ?
My thoughts: It is true that your brother must have pain in abdomen, the kidney stones must have been found in the CT scan, but it is possible that the symptoms of pain may not be coinciding with finding on the CT scan. It is possible that the stones must be in the poles which do not cause any pain unless there is obstruction in the ureter caused by an impacted stone or so.

Hence the first Doctor (in ER) might not have given treatment and
the second Doctor must have said that the pain is not related to the presence of stones in the CT scan. There might not have got any other finding in the CT scan and hence the suggestion.

It is possible that your brother need to be properly examined by a Doctor, investigated further if needed and treated according to the cause found.

I hope this answer helps your brother for getting the exact diagnosis so that the treatment is possible and effective.

Please feel free to give me the feedback I have asked for, ask further relevant queries or if you feel that there is a gap-of-communication.

First doctor says the Ct scan has kidney stones.
Second dr looking at CT scan, does not interpret as having kidney stones.

Pain character- severe

Brother was not treated at er because he doesn't have insurance. They referred him to a urologist but he can't go.
He went to a sliding scale clinic.

He has spent money 3 occasions now with no treatment.

He has high blood pressure.

Brief Answer:
Please give detailed history about pain in abdomen

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.
The interpretation by the Radiologist who gives the report is also very important. Please attach the report with this query as > YYYY@YYYY .

I could get that the pain in abdomen is severe, but would like to know the detailed history.

This is sad to know that Brother was not treated at ER as he does not have Insurance. Do you mean to say that even the Doctors at the sliding scale clinic did not give the diagnosis and / or treatment ?
I hope they must have at least told about the probable diagnosis and must have given a prescription.
What was the reason for not giving the treatment at other places ?
I hope your Brother is taking treatment for high blood pressure.
