Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Soreness
Question: I am getting over the stomach flu, I think. Now my abdomen is sore, especially on the left side, like I have pulled muscles. Possible liver?
Brief Answer:
Please give details and post actual reports if any
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate:
Male/74 - sore abdomen - especially on left side - like pulled muscles - thinks of liver - thinks of stomach flu - on blood pressure and statin medication
Liver is on the right side, so the affection is least possible.
Stomach flu or colitis can cause such symptoms as well as the other causes can be considered if I can get more details:
Any symptoms of nausea, vomiting, boating, loose stools or constipation?
Any urinary symptoms?
Any other symptoms like fever, malaise, body ache or headache?
Where exactly is the pain - character, severity, duration and any other additional details?
Awaiting

Pain is much less. Talked to my son, a Pediatric ER doc in New Hampshire. He thinks I am alright, just the flue virus. Thanx. Jim
